I love giving books! When someone gives me a book, it’s like a little hunch that there’s something in there that made them think of me or that can benefit me…encouragement? inspiration? guidance? me time?
Here are five books that I love giving, right in time for Mother’s Day!
- Mother and Child- This is my all time favorite gift and coffee table book! My husband gave this to me, and it is one of the few coffee table books that I flip through from time to time, because I enjoy it so much. The pictures are fantastic. They show motherhood with various women and their child(ren) in all stages of life…literally it is motherhood told in pictures. It’s gorgeous inside and on display!
- Mom, I want to hear your Story- Here is a great gift idea for your mom or mother-in-law. This book allows them to journal about themselves and tell you (and their grandchildren!) their story, their ideas, their life…beautiful!
- My Mom is Magical– This is one of my favorite gifts to give at showers and to new moms. The illustrations are super fun and the alliteration makes this book a really fun gift to give and receive!
- One Line a Day– We know how busy all of our lives are…add children to the mix, and whoa! Time spins sometimes. This is a journal where you simply write one line a day! I love that you can still jot down memories and highlights (and lows) of the day without the burden of writing pages for it to “seem” meaningful.
- Bible Promises for Moms– We ALL need to be reminded of God’s promises. You know why? Because the world continually tells us and helps us forget His promises. This book is a great little something to add on to a gift, or something to give on its own that’s inexpensive (under $5!!) but very powerful.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mamas out there in the thick of it, in waiting, those grieving relationships, those mourning, and those reaping the joys of adult children and their grandbabies <3.
