Right after the Holiday gift guides and the end of year sales in January, come my favorite shopping season of the year: resort wear (I’m a true summer loving girl) and Valentine’s Day everything!
Maybe I also love it because February is my birthday month? Or because everything is pink and pretty? Here are some Valentine goodies I have found while shopping for my little ones, girlfriends, and well, maybe myself too *wink*.
- Sticker Doodle, I love you! Activity book These books are great in so many situations. I like to keep books like this in the diaper bag for a restaurant, bag for church, or in our busy bin for while I’m cooking dinner and need a “self-guided” activity for my daughter.
- Stud Muffin sweatshirt This Etsy shop has a TON of cute shirts and sweatshirts! I love the Stud Muffin one and the Lover Boy one!
- Disney Princess Ring Pops We are using these with our class valentine’s for my daughter’s preschool class! They’re also great for party favors, Easter baskets (that’s next on your list!!), and maybe potty training incentives?!
- Mommy & Me journal This is precious. I would say it’s better for an older girl…at least 7 years old and up. It’s a great keepsake for you and your daughter to document your relationship and special moments. I love that your daughter gets to write from her perspective as you journal together.
- Sandwich cutter We use ours all the time! This one comes in a pack, and you can use it with fruit and other foods too.
- Fresh Flowers Puzzle This is a great gift for a MIL, mom, sister, or girlfriend instead of giving real flowers!
- Lilly Pulitzer heart earrings Oh goodness, I have these and they’re perfection!!!
- Mini Heart waffle maker This is beyond cute…and the price point is right on target at under $15! This a cute and easy way to make breakfast (even breakfast for dinner!) for your sweetones all year long.
- Heart jammies Monica & Andy is one of my favorite brands. All my children wore their clothes as their coming home outfits from the hospital and have their blankets. They have really expanded their line lately and now carry family jammies. I got the twins the blue heart zip-ups and my daughter the pink heart two-piece jammies this year.
- Valentine’s Day Picture books:: I have a LOT that I love! We have just as many Vday books in our playroom as we do Christmas, I think… Here are my favorites to get you started:
- Lola Dutch, I love you so much We LOVE some Lola Dutch around here…we have every book in this series. I’m in love with the illustrations as well as the storylines in each…and this one has so much heart to it!
- Click, Clack, Moo! I love You! If the glitter pages don’t sway you, I don’t know what will!
- Roses are Pink, Your feet really stink My four-year old thinks this book is so funny-that someone (Gilbert) would actually write naughty valentines!
- The Love in My Heart This book is beautiful. The illustrator included hearts in each page, so it almost like a game within the story to identify what is made out of hearts. This is also a great one for an Easter basket #yourwelcome
- Maribel’s Missing Valentines This is a super sweet book. It’s beautiful, not too long, and a classic for sure! Mirabel learns that her sack of Valentine’s is even fuller after losing her valentines to strangers.
- Somebody loves you Mr. Hatch I use to read this to my third graders when I taught. It has such a great lesson in it.
- How Many Do I Love You? This is a new book for us this year! *Nerd alert* I love the vocabulary in this book-it’s a counting book, too!
- I love you more, Babysaur This is on my list to get the twins this year!
- Bananas for You! I LOVE all the books by Hello Lucky! This one is just as fun as the others! Fun colors, illustrations, and great language.
- Art Book of Love As an art lover, this is one my favorite, favorite books. It is a thick book telling about love and each page is a famous work of art. It is perfect for your littlest artist lovers through elementary age.
Whether you give gifts or simple treats, I hope these ideas help you tell the people in your life you love them this month! Be sure to also check out my Valentine’s Day Activity Post Here for even more Valentine activities and some freebies!
